A historic architectural volume reimagined as a fully custom family home.

The original structure offered exceptional ceiling height and generous proportions. We redefined the floor plate to introduce a true double-height living space, preserving the drama of the existing shell while calibrating it for everyday life.

A sculptural modernist staircase, designed entirely by our studio, became the central architectural gesture — connecting levels with clarity and quiet movement. Rather than competing with the historic envelope, it establishes a measured dialogue between structure and flow.

Wine-toned marble, warm wood, and bespoke detailing introduce depth and tactility within a restrained modernist framework. Materiality is layered but controlled, allowing scale and light to remain the primary experience.

Monumental in volume yet intimate in use, the residence balances vertical air with domestic comfort — a home shaped by proportion, rhythm, and enduring calm.
