Apartments

Dokuchaev Lane

Dokuchaev Residence is a 2,690 sq ft family apartment designed by Fruktov Interiors. The project combines classical interior architecture with contemporary art and collectible objects, creating a calm and layered residential environment.

The apartment occupies a corner position with windows on three sides. Originally three separate units, the space was reconfigured into a single residence organized around a central living room. This square room with panoramic glazing became the architectural heart of the apartment.

Classical wall paneling, decorative moldings and mirrored surfaces amplify the natural light and introduce a sense of quiet monumentality. The interior architecture establishes a restrained framework that allows art, furniture and materials to create subtle visual tension.

The living room is composed around a marble fireplace and a sculptural seating arrangement with Marac sofas, Bernhardt coffee tables and GK Concept armchairs under a chandelier by Arteriors. Contemporary artworks introduce expressive contrast within the classical structure of the space, including the painting “Lilac Rose” by Sergey Bondarev and sculptural pieces by Taras Levko.

Ceramic objects from SAVOUR gallery and Levadnaya Ceramics appear throughout the apartment as collectible accents integrated into the architectural composition.

The dining area continues the spatial rhythm with a round table and Bernhardt chairs beneath a sculptural chandelier. Custom cabinetry and glass partitions subtly connect the dining room with the kitchen while maintaining visual depth.

The kitchen, designed with Giulia Novars cabinetry, is intentionally restrained, allowing materials and proportions to remain the primary focus.

The primary bedroom introduces a softer palette of textiles and upholstered surfaces. Layered fabrics and balanced lighting create a more intimate atmosphere while maintaining the architectural clarity of the overall interior.

Fruktov Interiors describe their approach as a “middle path” between classical interior architecture and contemporary design. In this project traditional spatial composition is paired with modern art and collectible design objects, resulting in a timeless and quietly expressive home.
