Usovo Residence

Usovo Residence is a private estate home in the Moscow region, conceived by Fruktov Interiors as a contemporary retreat that feels grounded, protective, and closely connected to its landscape.

The client described the desired atmosphere as a “lair,” a place of strength and stillness rather than display. This intention shaped the architecture of the interior. Double-height living spaces and floor-to-ceiling glazing open the home toward the surrounding nature, while a sculptural black steel staircase gives structure and clarity to the open plan.

The material language draws from Belgian refinement, with muted tones, tactile surfaces, and quiet proportions. Travertine, dark marble, brushed metal, and warm wood paneling create depth without excess. Concealed lighting and soft washes of light allow texture and shadow to shape the experience of each space.

The living area centers on a fireplace and generous low seating that encourages pause. Private rooms remain calm and composed, balancing darker architectural elements with neutral softness. The bathrooms continue the same material language through freestanding tubs, floating stone vanities, and precise detailing.

Fruktov Interiors delivered full-service interior design for the residence, including spatial planning, architectural development, custom millwork, furniture design, lighting design, and material specification. Every element contributes to a cohesive residential environment shaped by proportion, tactility, and long-term livability.

The result is a modern estate that feels anchored and enduring, with architecture, material, and nature existing in quiet equilibrium.
