Urban Residences
Urban Library Penthouse
Perched above Barcelona, Urban Library Penthouse was conceived by Fruktov Interiors as a private urban retreat shaped by proportion, depth, and material clarity. The client envisioned a residence that felt intellectual yet calm, with space for collecting books, art, and moments of stillness above the rhythm of the city.
The architectural concept centers on a double-height living space framed by floor-to-ceiling library shelving in dark oak. The library wall defines the identity of the interior, balancing visual weight with openness. A curved staircase, monolithic fireplace volumes, and restrained plaster surfaces create a quiet dialogue between geometry and softness.
Natural materials anchor the project, including wood paneling, stone, marble, and muted textiles. The palette remains controlled and tactile, allowing natural light to shape the atmosphere throughout the day. Private areas, including the bedroom and walk-in closet beneath a skylight, continue the same language of intimacy and material continuity.
The rooftop terrace extends the living experience outdoors through dining areas, panoramic views of Barcelona, and sheltered lounge zones. Interior and exterior are designed as one continuous residential environment.
Fruktov Interiors developed the complete interior architecture for the penthouse, including spatial planning, custom cabinetry, material selection, lighting design, and furniture integration. The result combines architectural structure with livable warmth and precise detailing.
Urban Library Penthouse reflects the studio’s approach to contemporary residential design through thoughtful spatial organization, natural materials, and interiors designed to age gracefully over time.
